Because of limited financial resources, many children in the Middle East often go without any medical treatment for years

What Is H.O.M.E.?

Health Outreach to the Middle East (H.O.M.E.) is a Christian, interdenominational organization that exists to bring physical, psychological and spiritual healing to poor and suffering people in the Middle East in the name of Christ. For a multitude of reasons, from civil wars, political and economic difficulties, to resource scarcity, many impoverished people live in this part of the world and are deprived of appropriate healthcare. The mission of H.O.M.E. is to provide adequate and high quality healthcare services to even the poorest of the poor.

A Heart For The Hurting

Dr. Issam Raad, Chairman and Professor of Medicine of the Infectious Diseases Department at M.D. Anderson, and President of H.O.M.E. Founded in 1990, H.O.M.E. was birthed by God in the hearts of Middle Eastern Christians in North America, as the answer to His calling to share the healing love of Christ with all the peoples of the Middle East, regardless of their race, color, religion, or geographical/political status. The President of H.O.M.E., Dr. Issam Raad, who is of Lebanese origin, is Chairman and Professor of Medicine of the Infectious Diseases Department at M.D. Anderson, the leading cancer center in the world. His heartfelt passion for God’s people led him to initiate a ministry whose purpose was to extend hands of compassion, healing, and love to those who are less fortunate and unable to otherwise afford medical treatment.

Currently, H.O.M.E. supports over 17 low-cost Christian clinics throughout the Middle East, in Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Sudan, Syria, and Iraq. Plans are underway to start and partner with clinics in Palestine as well. H.O.M.E will soon begin serving people in the rural areas of some of these countries by providing the resources and staffing for mobile clinics.

Our Advantage

This important characteristic is worth noting because time and again, this has helped H.O.M.E. break through the political, religious and cultural barriers that exist, and as result, make way for a more fruitful and efficient ministry.
